Jazz

  Jazz Dance is a rhythmic mixture of modern movement incorporating ballet fundamentals with the drive of hip hop, inspired by American Jazz music. Styles of jazz dance include Theatrical Jazz as seen in many of the Broadway Shows, Modern Jazz which the Alvin Ailey Dance Company is famous for and Lyric Jazz which has elements of both ballet and modern in it.

  Jazz has a style and techique which has been brought to the forefront by many famous dancers and choreographers including Luigi and Bob Fosse. At Allegra we have three performing companies that focus on Jazz Dance and the diversity it offers the performing arts.
